Days of Grace 5-7-09

1.  My brand new leather blazer showed up in the mail in time for me to wear it to my interview this afternoon.  It fits, I feel quite posh, wearing it, and although it was outrageously expensive, it was much less expensive than before it went on massive sale.  Which, somehow, makes it ok that I spent so much money on a coat.

It’s a really pretty coat…

2.  Ate out with the boy, his parents, his eldest daughter & her boyrfriend & her best friend.  A really nice night all around, and his reading went well, and we drank wine and ate almond macaroons from Court Street Pastry.  What could be nicer?

3.  Diet is still working.  Who would have thought that eating less and exercising more would have this nifty “weight loss” effect?

4.  The sound of the dog galloping up (or down) the stairs.  She was terrified of the stairs when she first came here, and even now, she tries to run them in as few steps as possible.  Though I think now it’s the challenge of seeing if she can take them in 3 steps or fewer rather than any residual uneasiness.  She just likes going fast.

5.  Got some answers from some clinics which helped, at least, to knock a few of them out of the running.  Still haven’t found the ah-ha moment when all is clarity, but I’m working on it.  (Keep the brain busy, you know!)

  • I love when people pick the perfect adjective to describe a noun. Today I give you 5 gold stars for “posh”. For some reason I don’t know why, it made me smile and I had an instant mental picture of The Coat.
