Days of Grace 5-8-09
Damn, this spring is flying past. It’s usually my favorite, most grateful-happy-to-be-alive time of year, and it’s nearly over. I’ve been preoccupied. Ugh.
1. FIrst sunny day in what feels like forever. Sun’s out, plants have all grown a foot, except for the bamboo which has grown three feet. It’s late spring out there, and I nearly missed it. Yay spring.
2. I’ve been sleeping well, which is downright amazing. Sleep is my friend.
3. A friend I’ve been worried about got back in touch with me, and it was such a relief I was smiling all of last night. Still have to finish knitting that plucked chicken hat. Unfortunately, I have no idea where I stashed it to keep it out of sight after this past summer. It was an unfortunate reminder of better days – these were to be matching plucked chicken hats for “auntie” and the baby. But I’d like to finish it off, and yes – make a baby hat for someday-Sprog, even if there is no sprog in utero to which I can dedicate it right now. Need to go through closets, because I know it’s here somewhere, Linda!
4. I was at work yesterday for a grand total of 3 hours – and one of those hours was my lunch break. I wonder if I could interview for a different job every late night…
5. Speaking of late nights, it’s no longer dark when I get out of work at 8pm. Praise Apollo (not my nephew, but the sun-god).
