1.  God it smells nice up here.  Trees and flowers and clean air.  All the things it’s possible to take for granted when you don’t live in a city.  I’m just walking around with a dopey smile on my face breathing really deeply.

(Of course, that could also be the fact that we’re at about 7500 feet, and my brain is starved for oxygen…)

2.  My new jeans have stretched out, allowing me the illusion that I should have bought the smaller size.  Ah, sweet self-deception!

3.  Off to eat a greasy spoon breakfast.  Yum.  Eggs.  Toast.

4.  Waking up to a kitty begging to be pet.  I miss cats.

5.  Sunflowers.  Wild and sunny and fiery yellow.  *sigh*  It’s good to be home.

  • Enjoy! I had to give my cats away at one point about 10 years ago because my roommate was deathly allergic – it was only a few months and I really missed them. Since then, we lost Sophie to kidney disease but Nando is 14 and going strong. I love waking up with him next to me. We are usually awoken by my dog Shelly – my pets make my life so much sweeter.

  • The weather here is beautiful too… It is about 78 degrees, the sun is shining, and it is just gorgeous. Peter pushed me outside in the wheelchair and it was just so nice to get out of bed and outside for a bit, just to smell the fresh air!

    Enjoy the gorgeous day!

  • you, sweet susan, are the best– thank you for the thoughtful care package– it arrived safely. And will be put to use starting in a day or two. I has another negative test tonight so I think this cycle is done.

I always loved driving past or flying over flagstaff. It struck me as a place I could very happily be– an oasis of sorts, of green hilly beauty right there in the middle of the desert.

Hope your time away is glorious and what day is your ultrasound?
    must be soon,
    happy 6w.
    xo

  • It sounds lovely! Sigh… I’m a cat person too, I’d miss my furballs too. Glad you’re getting a reunion.
