Days of Grace 7-16-09
1. Cardinals have been in the backyard for several days running, now. Seeing a falsh of red out there cheers me up every time I see them.
2. Cold cereal in the morning. Never been much of a cold cereal fan, but these days it takes the edge off without triggering anything unpleasant. (Why is toast no longer my friend? Ack!)
3. The smell of a brief rainstorm on cement and stone and soil.
4. I was picked as a conditional hire if my library receives a grant to accession a huge map collection. Of course, it would be happening right around April 2010, so (I sure as hell hope) the point is somewhat moot, but it’s nice to be well thought of by the cataloging department.
5. Second flurry of roses in the backyard. Ah, roses!
