I'm glad the prune juice is working for you, but sorry it's being rough on you. Your body will adjust and find a new level of normal.

I am the m/s queen, so here are a few tips I've picked up along the way:
1. Find a strong smell you can stand, for me it's fresh lemons, carry it with you everywhere you go. I always have a lemon in my purse the first trimester. If I get queasy I just pull it out, scratch the skin and inhale. The smell overpowers my gag reflex.

2. Ginger tea. A fresh piece of ginger in hot water. Let it steep. Sip it slowly.

3. Lay on your left side. That's the direction your stomach empties, so it keeps the acid moving on.

4. Protein! I can't say this enough. Toast and crackers, contrary to popular wisdom, will make you sicker in the long run. They boost your blood sugar levels and then the nausea returns with a vengeance when your sugar levels drop. Lots of protein will keep you level and less sick. Beef jerky works for me if I eat it slowly, a friend of mine swears by the whites of boiled eggs.

5. If you're going to puke anyway....I leave a glass of water with lots of lemon in it close at hand. If you can't avoid the upchuck, slam it back as you run for the bathroom. It won't stop you, but the acid in the lemon will mask the stomach acid taste.

Hope this helps.

I'm not an IF girl, just a lurker who is finding strength in the last days of an uncomfortable pregnancy by reading about people who would give anything to be so miserable. Thanks for your help and inspiration. Hope I have returned the favor in some small way.
