Days of Grace 8-3-09
1. Cold shrimp for dinner last night after the fixin’s the boy bought included proscribed foods. The shrimp were delicious and I felt not one tiny bit deprived. Tonight we’re going back to the land of spicy goodness – the Sichuan place I raved about a couple of months ago. My yen for spicy has abated somewhat, but I’m still really looking forward to it.
2. I’m done with PIO. Terrified I’m now going to lose what few symptoms I do have, but really & truly delighted to be done with the needles. And the itchiness. And the rash. And the bloodspots on underwear/sheets/nightgown. Only 2 weeks before I graduate from pessaries, too, and then I’ll be as close to normal as I ever get!
3. Cool nights after hot muggy days. They’re rare, but I do appreciate them when they happen.
4. Tomorrow marks the end of the Summer Reading push at work, for which I am grateful. It’s been a lot of extra work & stress, without much accommodation made for it, with all my other duties. A few weeks of no-teen-programming at all, and then back to normal school-year stuff. Video games. Crafts. Whew.
5. Doppler notification via UPS came yesterday, so I’m expecting it within the next couple of days. Thank. Every. Deity. Listening.
