1.  Grateful that the general level of “fraught-ness” has eased at work.  Especially since I got recalled to the Realm of Pain for today’s shift.  Sigh.  Our customers are still nutso, but at least the employees aren’t at each other’s throats anymore.  Plus the Princess isn’t in today.  That always helps.

2.  At work yesterday when I had the last of the short ribs and sweet potato, everyone who walked into the back room lifted their head to sniff the air, and immediately started hunting around for who had the good food.  Made me feel good, even if I didn’t share…

3.  I’m almost finished with scarf # 2 & 3.  I work on different projects at different places – and the subway scarf and the tv scarf are almost done.  I think socks are next, because they go so fast.  I just might get all these projects done in time, despite getting distracted by paper toys.

4.  My mother-in-law called last night because she wants to take us out to dinner to celebrate  my upcoming birthday.  This really touched my heart, made me grateful and happy that I like his family so much.  It’s a blessing that I really don’t take for granted.

5.  The daughters have agreed to come and take home with them, the small brewery pint glasses that he buys them for Christmas each year.  They’re cute & all, if you’re a beer drinker, but I don’t like designs screened on my drinking glasses, and especially not beer designs.  But because he’s been giving them to the girls for so long, it just became habit that those were the drinking glasses used in the house.  HIs house, because obviously, the ex-wife didn’t take them with her, and the Boy is rather boy-like and sees no reason to change things…

Let’s just say that I get to go buy some new water glasses for everyday use, and I’m delighted.
