This would be really cute if it weren’t born of such incredible frustration. I’m sorry you are stuck waiting. It does indeed suck. Try some ginger tea, and to distract yourself go outside and try to enjoy the lovely day.

For some reason reading this reminds me of this time when I was in my 20s. I had probably been on BC pills for about 4 years or so. One time I was visiting my best friend in Boston. We were eating lunch. I excused myself to go to the restroom. When I came back I confessed to her that I was feeling stressed out, because my period was late. In her very caring best friend way she asked “how late are you?” I replied “3 hours”. Needless to say she then laughed pretty hard. I was serious! The fact is, for years I took my last pill on a Friday and started my period Sunday at noon! Every single cycle for years! Of course it came. And has come every month since that… and that was about 15 years ago… Oh how young and naive I was… (sweet). — I’m sorry your weekend has had to be about waiting!! You at least seem to creatively fill up your time. Hope it shows up this evening maybe…
There is something about the cadence of your rhyming that reminds me of an Edward Gorey piece. Gah! Maybe the time and weather change put you off. Hoping you get to it very soon.
