Days of Grace 11-16-09
1. A gray, wintery day yesterday, which made for a nice change, though I’m sure I’ll be tired enough of it by March, I’m rather ready for it to be winter again.
2. Yesterday was an extraordinarily lazy day. I knit. I watched Twilight, and I bought fabric for a knitting needle case I’m planning to make. I got taken out to eat by my in-laws, and I walked the dog. I’m possibly the most boring human being alive, because as far as I’m concerned – yesterday? Yesterday was just about perfect.
3. Besides taking me out to a sumptuous dinner, my in-laws were also incredibly generous. They take birthdays ending in zero a bit more seriously than I do. Wow. In a way – hey! Incredibly uncomfortable! But at the same time, it made me feel good – as presents are supposed to. It made me feel like they really do like having me around. That they want me to feel like a real part of their family and not a last-minute addition. And I really hope they like their Christmas socks. (Ack. Might need to ramp up those Christmas gifts to the next level, actually…)
4. 9 to 5. Monday through Friday. Professional schedule for the first time in my professional life. WooDamnHoo!
5. I bought a begonia at the farmers’ market yesterday. Black leaves with silver spots – I love “foliage” begonias!
