Hello ICLW!

(A couple of important notes:  ”Sprog” is Brit-slang for a kid, a child, a baby.  ”Sprogged up” is slang for being pregnant.)

I don’t have a sprog.  I’m not sprogged up.

1st IVF = missed miscarriage in summer of 2008!
2nd IVF = ectopic pregnancy in winter of 2008!
3rd IVF = BFN in winter of 2009
1st FET cycle = cancelled due to spontaneous pregnancy ending in another missed miscarriage in spring of 2009!
2nd FET cycle = missed miscarriage in summer of 2009

All leading up to the current DE cycle I’m right smack in the middle of.

Infertility sucks.  I’m bitter.  I write about it.

Due to my own crappy eggs being the cause of at least one of my losses, we’ve moved on to donor eggs, and are waiting for that to happen in, like the next 2 weeks.  I’m excited.  And terrified.  And happy.  And kind of depressed.  And eager.  And bored out of my mind.  You know, general IF-related blog stuff.

I also write about, um, writing.  And food.  And living in NYC.  And my shitty job.  And my marvelous whippet.

Stay tuned.  I’ve been on Lupron for 10 days now.  Things are bound to get crazy soon.

  • I know what you mean about the loopy Lupron. Glad I won’t be cycling with it this time. I’m sure my husband will thank me for that later ;-) . I pray that this DE cycle will bring you your sticky baby. Thinking good thoughts for you! Hope we can get (and stay) knocked up together with our IVF cycles. Have a happy turkey day.

  • Just happened upon your blog (ICWL) and will be following from now on. Best wishes with the donor egg and Lupron madness. At least you won’t have to take any folli-stims this time.

  • Oh but you are so entertaining while on Lupron! It’s like I never know what I’m going to get when I’m getting ready to click over!

Anyways, happy ICLW and as always I’m anxiously waiting for each bit of good news for you!

    Hugs!

I just have to say that I love how much you love your Whippet. Nellie sounds like a doll.
