1.  It’s Thanksgiving, probably my favorite holiday, and I’m spending it with my second-favorite family, first being, of course, my own mom & dad & little brother.  But it’s a fun weekend getaway, to be in a huge crowd of people who are kind and funny and extremely fun to be with, and I do feel fortunate.  Besides which, the boy’s family?  They really know how to eat well!

2.  Everything worked out ok last night, and they really might not have.  For as crazy as it was, it could have ended badly rather than okay.  Take what I can get…

3.  The dog didn’t eat even a tiny bit of hand-embroidered, antique linens yesterday.  A trend I’d like to see continue…

4.  Dinner tonight should be spectacular.  And hey!  I get to drink wine without guilt since it’s going to be a few more weeks of this anyway.

5.  Thankful for the things I have.  Good friends, both IRL & URL.  An incredibly supportive family, both by blood & marriage.  A job in these hard times is worth being grateful for, even if I hate it.  My marriage to the most wonderful man I’ve ever known.  Remember in The Sound of Music where Julie Andrews is singing, “I must have done something good”?  I feel like that each & every day.  How did I get so lucky.
