Days of Grace 1-4-10

1.  I really really like my new iPod Touch gadget.  I’m using it for all sorts of things – including a knitting app that rocks.  (A stitch counter I don’t have to use 2 hands for!)  A calorie diary that actually stays near enough to me that I’m not tempted to “forget” about that handful of M&Ms.  An alarm clock!  Damn, I love gadgets.  Damn, I am such a geek.

2.  We’re planning our epic Montreal-in-the-dead-of-winter trip, and I’m starting to get excited about it.  Wondering rather how we’re going to deal with the dog, logistically, when she’s not in a kennel – ie: when we’re in NH, but trusting it will all work out ok.  I’m so looking forward to getting out of town; it’s been forever since I’ve been further away than Connecticut…

3.  Back to work, which doesn’t have me thrilled, (god, I get spoiled so easily!) but at least it’s at the no-stress place for a few more weeks.  And maybe one of my transfer requests will come through…

4.  I found plans for building self-watering planters for tomatoes online yesterday and I’m excited about building them for next summer.  It’s been way too long since I’ve done anything productive, gardening-wise, and if I don’t move my tomatoes up to the sunny patio on the 2.5 floor, I’m never going to get a good crop here in the dark canyons of Brooklyn.

5.  I checked previous pregnancies, and day 6 & 7 post transfer really seem to be when the cramping sets in.  Come on, uterine (not fallopian!) cramping!  Reassure Sprogmama!
