Internets, I feelz pregnant.

Not really, I mean, I don’t feel as crampy as I’d like to, and my boobs don’t yet have the shiny, “ouch, don’t look at me!” level of tenderness I’ve come to associate with being sprogged-up.  But I’m thirsty like Death Valley in summertime thirsty.  I’m thirsty like this while I’m drinking my 13th glass of water for the day.  Seriously.  It’s a weird, weird feeling.  Especially since I know it mostly means I’m going to be up all night, because my bladder apparently accommodates this whole “drink water like it’s going out of fashion” fashion when in its upright, librarian position, but when it’s in prone or supine sleeping-Sprogblogger position?  Eeek.  Must.  Pee.  it out.  NOW.

Which is encouraging, if a bit maddening after the 4th or 5th bathroom trip since midnight.

And due to the crazy-making-ness of last time around’s HPTs that barely ever registered an almost-visible-to-the-naked-eye line even when my numbers were in the hundreds, I will be doing my damnedest not to POAS before 9dpt.  I may not make it that long (well, I might need a control test, you know?)  But I’m going to try not to feed the crazy.

Believe me, it’s growing by leaps & bounds all on its own.

Speaking of feeding, I fed the baby bok choy for lunch yesterday, even though delicious fatty meat- &/or deep fried dough products presented themselves. And the bok choy, it tasted good.

I’d like to claim that my superior palate prefers steamed bok choy to golden roasted dumplings, but it just aint so.  Deepfried usually wins hands down.

So my current infatuation with steamed veggies might have been pregnancy hormones, or it might have been the influence of MSG.  I was at “House of Andy”, after all, and I can’t tell for sure.  But Internets?

I’m feeling hopeful.

Now give me another glass of water.

  • This might be a dumb observation, but perhaps the HPTs had faint lines despite good numbers because you drink a TON of water. I drink a lot of water–though not nearly as much as you–and that’s always been the case for me. With LG I didn’t get a positive until 12dpo, and that was also with a beta of 170+ (the next day).

But, oh, I can’t wait to see what happens in the next few days!! All my good 2010 energy is directed your way!

  • This is sounding good! Those bathroom trips will be worth it, I swearz.

  • I remember that feeling well. Sounds like a FABULOUS sign!!! I can’t believe you are going to wait 2 more days to POAS. The suspense is killing me here girl! What would your due date be?

  • ohhhh I love the thirsty! and gwinne had a really really good point there about dilution. hmmm.
    and I am HOPEFUL
    hopeful hopeful hopeful

Thirsty is good! Making more blood, upping the volume! Very good sign!

YES! YES!!!!!!!!! I am so feeling good about this!!!! And I’m also thinking that I may not be able to stand the suspense much more and may have to take the train to Brooklyn, pee stick in hand and force you to pee on it, just because I can’t stand it anymore! I want to know! Oh, but wait, that would be selfish, not to mention overly impulsive, right? Hmmph. Will keep waiting. AND HOPING!

  • Yay for feelzings and dumplings and way to much water. Hold out for a couple of days on POAS, you’ll feel like you have the fortitude of an amazon warrior priestess.

TEST TEST TEST! I’M DYING TO KNOW!!! you and your family is in my prayers!!

Ooh, starting to force feed your sprog veggies already. Way to go. I think waiting to POAS is a good thing. No reason to suffer a false negative. This cycle sounds very promising.

  • Hope is good! Yay! I can’t wait for you to POAS!

  • Ah, yes, the night pees. Honestly, I have a weak bladder anyhow, so I usually get up twice a night, but when pregnant, it was a good 5 on average. Hopefully this is a good sign. ;)

Wishing you the best of luck and eager to hear the outcome! Bring on the sprog!

  • Mary

Thirsty is good! Bring on the cramps :)

  • The suspense is KILLING me. But you seem to be holding up quite nicely. So glad to hear it.

    Still crossing everything for you.

  • Thirsty and hopeful- what a perfect combination. I’m hopeful for you too! I’m dying to know that you’re more than just pupo… but will be patient and wait until you feel not-crazy for needing to POAS.

  • K

    *hugs*

    counting down with you

  • Yay for thirsty!!!! I am so, so hopeful too and I am glad to hear you are as well. ((HUGS))

  • Hoping all is well and that you arent turning into a boat! :)

I’m not really a lurker having commented before but seeing how it is National DeLurking week, I feel like commenting now :)

I am thrilled that you are hopeful and know that you have reason to be.

I was a bit of an HPT junkie (trying every brand, experimenting with the timing, etc) and am the poster child for why NOT to HPT. That being said, I hope you can hold out until Day 9 (as a point of reference a sensitive to 15mIU HPT was negative for me at 7dp5dt and I threw in the towel on that cycle. My beta at 10dp5t? 70. Go figure. My son is now 33 months. Oh, and my betas didn’t double early on either, so I’ll be here for you should you need me in that regard.)

  • Squeee! This sounds promising! Bok choy? Water? Peeing??? You know, YOU may be able to wait until 9dpt to POAS but the INNERNET needs to know NOW! Blame us if anyone griefs you…inquiring minds want to know :)

    Happy Delurking Week, btw.

  • Oh – this is so exciting – I’m crossed all over. Looking forward to good news!

  • I have the same thing, my lines are always faint even when the numbers are good because of the never-ending-will-die-in-five-minutes-if-not-given-water Thirsty.

But, like you, I’m all over the testing early, finding out at the earliest possible second. The hubs typically tells me I’m crazy for the first couple of tests and by like 12 or 13 dpo can finally see the line, too.

I’m hoping you get your positive right on 9dp3dt!
