1.  We took down our Christmas tree last night – after it wilted.  We had this gorgeous, HomeBeautiful™ type tree this year, all perfectly shaped & beautifully scented and simply lovely.  We, um, that is to say, I, forgot to water it.  Um, at all.  And yesterday, the day we were planning to take it down (sadly) anyway, it sort of drooped.  Didn’t drop it’s leaves, just drooped like a cartoon tree of some sort.  Weird.  It made taking down the tree much less sad and much more cheerful of an event.  Thanks, tree, for making my least-favorite part of the holiday a little easier!

2.  Watched District 9 last night & while I wasn’t thrilled with the movie, parts of the movie were interesting and thought-provoking, and I always like movies like that.

3.  My dog sprawled on my lap, play-snapped at my knitting where it tickled her back, and generally clowned for me the whole evening.  Have I mentioned how much I adore this dog?

4.  My new work situation really isn’t wanna-die horrible.  I am dreading having to go back to the Realm of Pain, but until I have to?  It’s sort of nice not to dread going to work each & every day.

5.  Nice, strong PMS-y cramps in the shower this morning.  Thank you, Universe.
