Days of Grace 1-13-10
1. Any day that begins with hot chocolate and is probably going to end with shrimp is a good day in my book. Shrimp are on sale, and I’ve got a yen going for some Japanese yams & asparagus. Today is probably going to be a good day.
2. The crazy continues at work, but I have the union rep (puny and pathetic as our union is) on my side, along with the sympathies of the district manager, and my new manager & asst. manager. Maybe I can raise enough of a stink to get this ruling on my work status revoked. If not, maybe I’ll be able to play the “I’m pregnant & cannot endure this kind of stress” card before my contact in upper management retires this spring. At least there is some kind of forward progress happening at the moment. We’ll see how optimistic I’m feeling after tomorrow…
3. Pomegranate seeds make my mouth happy. So fun to crunch in my teeth. So nice to look at on my spoon.
4. One batch of meds has already arrived via FedEx. Hoping that UPS shows up with my injectables before I have a stress-induced fit.
5. It’s already 2:30, and my doctor’s office closes at about 5. Which means I have less than 3 hours to wait for my second beta results. Not that I’m impatiently waiting by the phone or anything…
