Days of Grace 2-2-10
1. Space heater under my desk. My “office” is a corner, right by the basement door – made of glass! – which gets mighty drafty and cold this time of year. However, it’s also a pretty tiny little corner, so the space heater does a great job of warming it up. Toasty toes make me happy when it’s cold outside.
2. Snow in the morning, clear sidewalks by noon. This might be one of my favorite weather phenomena ever, and it’s happening a lot this year.
3. The Boy came with me this morning – getting up way earlier than is his wont – without me even asking him to do so. He held my hand all through the procedure & all the way to where we parted on the subway, because he could tell how freaked out I’ve been, even though I try not to dump too much of that on him. He gets it perfectly right sometimes. He really really does.
4. Morning sickness. (Well, middle of the afternoon sickness.) I will continue to be grateful for this nearly (oh, blech!) tangible sign of pregnancy. No matter how funny it feels to admit it, I’m damned happy that I’m being plagued with nausea.
5. Grilled cheese. Toasted bagels. Carbohydrates are my friends. Mmmmmmm.

Yes again to grilled cheeses – I have eaten what feels like hundreds during this pregnancy!!!!
Yes, more carbohydrates, please. Grilled cheeses, of a certain variety. No fancy stuff, only the good ol’ fashioned kind.
I loved grilled cheese with Alexander. I ate it so often that I had to find new and exciting ways to dress it up! I recommend a 7 grain bread with cheddar, sprouts, tomatoes, and honey mustard! (sounds weird but it is soooo good!)
