Another tisane you could try (also approved by the Canadians) is made of linden flowers, unless you have a cardiac condition or sth. I love, love, love it, especially now, in winter. With a bit of honey and plenty of lemon - yum! And a slice of toast. Total bliss and also helps with the nausea. The only side effect that might not be high on the list is that it is kind of soporific ;-). But right now everything makes me drowsy, so I really don't mind.

I realize that a sample size n=2 is not a great study, but after you posted about the hydration and spotting on Monday I thought "can't hurt, might help" and knocked back 112 oz yesterday and today (up from about 64oz most days). My spotting is 99% better. I also pee 3x as much, so I have a lot more "am I spotting" data to go by.

I hope you have a great last-time-forever appointment with the doc tomorrow.

It was actually cheaper for me to buy a doppler on eBay than rent from Babybeat, and the doppler had a higher frequency which let me hear the baby's heartbeat earlier. (At 9 weeks.) I used it often until I felt movement at 15 weeks, 5 days. Yes, I remember the date more than a year later. :)

You go girl! So glad the spotting stopped. I heart my doppler still - I was going to sell it, since I bought it straight out, but it continues to bring me peace of mind. My husband still thinks it is the devil.

I have bought one soft maternity bra and a friend loaned me one of hers - when I go out, I still squeeze into my 36D regular bra - most of my breasts are coming out the side - so that I have the appearance of support...

I am going to get fitted for a good nursing bra once my milk comes in - lord help my girls - and I am terrified of the aftermath, i.e. once I stop breast feeding. A comedienne once described it as "two paper bags with a rock in the bottom of each"!!!

Water is truly magical, so I wouldn't be surprised if that did stop your spotting. Yay for boring days though! May the rest of your pregnancy be absolutely sleep-inducing!

Whew, I'm so glad to hear your mind is (sorta) eased with the lack of spotting. Good luck at the appointment tomorrow. And big hugs to Mo, tell her we miss her posts! Tell her I hope she is doing well.
