I agree about not sharing the worry on dopplers; I also dont share it on u/s. These kids had so many of them and, when we were doing research and talking to doctors, the issues came when babies were ultrasounded for 30-45 minutes+ several times a week.

Hooray for thumpathumpathumpa :)

I have no problem saying that I rented a doppler with both of my girls' pregnancies and used them almost daily from about 12 weeks until the very end (37w1d and 37w5d respectively) with no ill effects whatsoever. Healthy, happy babies and happy mama with no more DBTs...huzzah all around!

I had more ultrasounds while pregnant with the twins then I care to admit, and they are perfectly fine. Using the doppler to give you peace of mind is WAY more important than the TINY amount of waves....waaaaaaay more important. :-)

Whoo-hoo! I am so glad it was easy to find, and that sounds must be sooo reassuring. And surely the lowering of mom's stress is worth everything too!

Awww, that is so awesome to hear (pun intended). I am reminiscing back to my own "first" with a Doppler.

I became more adept at using it than the nurses at my OBs office or even in L&D (the two trips I made there). And, mine was more high-tech than theirs, too!

I wish I could hear it but I'm relieved for you and know exactly how that relief and joy feels.

I'm smiling as I type this!
