Days of Grace 5-20-10
1. Tofutti Cuties. Like a half-sized ice cream sandwich only with non-dairy filling. Known by the Boy as “definitely not ice cream sandwiches” and by myself as “totally perfect summertime deliciousness. Mmmm.
2. Day off. Day off to be spent finishing off the clay pieces from that pottery class I took with the fabulous Alyssa oh-so-many months ago. Yay!
3. Ebay. Maternity shopping on Ebay to be precise. Cheap, cool stuff, don’t have to sacrifice a day off to go into the city and shop. All good things.
4. Although my sleep-in morning was sort of ruined by a roofing contractor calling at 7:30am (seriously, who thinks that’s an appropriate time for a phone call?) and then by the arrival of the construction worker who’s tearing out an upper level patio and putting in a ground level porch, it turned into a morning of smiles. Nellie, my timid, scared-of-everything whippet rose to the challenge of protecting the sleeping pregnant lady by barking ferociously when construction guy unlocked our door. Not that I was thrilled at the time by her loudness, but hey – when your dog faces something that really frightens her on your behalf, you have to be appreciative. Thank you for protecting me, Nellie, even if I didn’t get to sleep quite long enough.
5. Coffee & english muffins for breakfast.
