Days of Grace 7-2-10
1. Cool outside like it hasn’t been in a long time. I understand this is supposed to last through tomorrow. I’ll take whatever we can get – I needed this temperature break.
2. Just took the dog for a walk – the first time in several weeks. It felt really good to do something normal and fun and for someone else.
3. OB appointment went well, and from here on out I go in every 2 weeks. Things are amping up, which is sort of exciting.
4. SuperstarOB was, once again, supportive of my decision to go to Italy. He also said that he would recommend a glass of wine with dinner every night while there to lessen the chance of pre-term labor. I laughed, dutifully, and he turned to me and said “I’m serious. We used to give it to pre-terms who were hospitalized, back when insurance companies didn’t rule the world. Wine is an excellent muscle relaxant and can stop pre-term contractions nicely.”
Um, if you insist!
5. Hamburger for dinner last night – I’ve never been a burger fan, but these days I’m so desperate for red meat, and NOT for charred steak (I’m a rare meat girl) that a juicy (albeit, well-done) hamburger ground up by our butcher & cooked up by the Boy suits me nicely. Plus he gave me spinach. My red blood cells are singing arias today. Iron! All that Iron!
