1. Middle of nowhere, CT, no wi-fi in the house, happily blogging away. Love my iPhone.

2. We paid for yesterday’s late bedtime with a 4am wake-up that turned into our de facto morning. Oh yawn. I keep saying it but then I keep forgetting it so here’s the rule One More Time:

Baby’s nap schedule is sacred. Baby’s bedtime is inviolable. Don’t mess with these things unless you really don’t want to sleep for the next 48 hours.

Sigh. Now he doesn’t want to nap despite being in-tears-exhausted. Sigh.

3. However, the boy did relieve me at 6:30 so I could get a bit more sleep. Much needed sleep & much appreciated boy.

4. Henry is having a blast playing with his grandparents and all their fun toys. He found a box as big as he is filled with Mardi Gras beads. The delight he took in digging deep with both hand and letting all that ‘finery’ stream around him made me wish most awfully that I’d had a camera on me. He looks good in plastic beads!

5. I can’t find his monitor so I guess I need to spend his nap here lying on the bed in our adjoining room. Whatever shall I d—(snore…)
