1. I woke up Hungry this morning, so, oddly, that made me want to see how much weight I gained over the holidays. I guess to decide if I should have a big breakfast or a little breakfast? Imagine my delight when I realized I lost weight. Not a lot. A pound. But since I’ve been drinking water like mad, I know it’s not water-loss. My oatmeal this morning is muy delicioso.

2. My beautiful lamp chop last night wasn’t anywhere near as appetizing as it is when I have it rare & bloody and still baahing at me. That somewhat underdone broccoli, though? MMMMmmmmmmm!!!!! Broccoli!!!!!

3. I scored major points at work yesterday by being so bored that I deigned to shelve DVDs. Realize there’s a strict hierarchy of duties at most libraries and librarians tend to be more protective of their ‘do nothing’ rights than many professionals I’ve worked with, probably because of the Big Education = Tiny Status thing. But my boss saw me shelving and, several times throughout the day, commented on how glad she was that I’m at her branch. That’s my plan, lady. Make ya wanna keep me.

4. I’m feeling relatively calm (well, underneath the prednisone frenzy, anyway,) and ok about this cycle. I think I’m pregnant, I really do, and so I’m not tormenting myself with what-if?s. This is a nice zen-like feeling that I’d really like to be able to preserve through an actual pregnancy, as well.

Yeah.

Wish me luck with that one.

5. I woke up with all sorts of ideas about what to do with my scads of free time. This hasn’t happened often, lately, and I’m welcoming the new-brain feel of this new year. Thanks, 2010. So far, you’re kicking 2009′s ass, as far as livability goes…
