Back from a wonderful long weekend at the boy’s parents’ country house in Connecticut. They were interested and supportive of pregnancy, I got a couple of sincere compliments from his mother, who told me that I’m looking ‘radiant’ these days. Woke up at 3am – sproing! – thinking horrible scary thoughts – “What if something’s wrong with the baby? Those screening tests are in, like 3 weeks, and what if something’s wrong and I have to make an impossible decision, and oh my god what am I doing?!?” And I’d just get myself calmed back [...] |
